In the midst of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, BP has put forth a preventative plan in order to ensure the safety of its employees, BP announced in a statement.
The company has enabled remote working for all employees who are available to do so. As for field employees and operators, BP has implemented protocols for health and pre-mobilization checks, travel and workplace access, and ensures social distancing and isolation. Additionally, the company has implemented a team-based shift model to limit contact.
Furthermore, the company has intensified cleaning procedures in all their retail sites. BP is encouraging customers to practice social distancing. Not only that, but BP Foundation will donate $2 million to the World Health Organization’s (WHO) COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. In addition to providing free fuel to emergency services vehicles in the UK, the company will also provide free food and convenience goods delivery from its UK retail sites.
