Zohr field will produce 1 billion cubic feet per day end of 2017
Minister of Petroleum, Eng. Tarek El Molla, chaired the General Assembly for Petro Shorouk Company to review the company’s budget for the fiscal year 2017/2018. The General Assemby was held in the attendance of First Undersecretaries of the Ministry of Petroleum, CEO of the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) and Executive President of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), and General Manager of IEOC Eng. Adriano Mongini.
During the General Assembly Eng. Atef Hassan, Petrobel’s Chairman, said that the Zohr field will start producing almost 900 million cubic feet of gas per day and will top 1 billion cubic feet per day in the end of 2017. The field will produce approximately 2.7 billion cubic feet of gas daily once the drilling project is complete in the end of 2019.
